Sandstone Coasters

Looking for a great addition to the tables in your home? Look no further! Our sandstone coasters are a great way to keep your tables protected while also offering them a bit of added flair! Sandstone coasters are wonderful because they are absorbent! Sandstone is a material that has very fine pores. When a liquid comes in contact with it, the liquid will be soaked in by the sandstone and stored until it evaporates later. This is a feature that any great coaster should have! They can be used for hot or cold liquid beverages and are easily wiped off with a damp cloth for cleaning. Sandstone coasters are a must-have for anyone who likes to host events or simply wants a great way to accent their living spaces!  

All of the sandstone coasters here at Nature’s Looking Glass are very unique. Each coaster is 4″ in diameter and each set depicts a different design as photographed by this artist. The sets can be themed or not, it is totally up to you! Each set comes with four sandstone coasters in a black metal rack. Each coaster also has a cork bottom. You can choose up to four different photos to theme your set with. You can have all four photos be the same or mix and match, it’s your choice! 

The photos are absorbed into the sandstone using a heat transfer process referred to as sublimation. The photos are computer printed onto a transfer paper which is, then, combined with the blank coaster and placed in a heat press. After heating and then cooling all paper is removed and the photo has become part of the coaster itself. The only thing which will destroy the photo would be breaking the coaster by dropping on a hard surface. They are virtually indestructible!
